I’m tryna reach Valhalla. Tryna align all my chakras. I’m an inch away from relapse and a skip away from drama. But I don’t quell my problems. I’m attacking them instead. I think I’ve reached a point I’m manifesting what is said and all it took was ten years of my life to get ahead. I feel a power in me.
Indescribable. At best,
it’s like good energy just showers over me.
I’m blessed.
It feels like nothing in this world can stop me short of death.

I’m hardly ever home but you’re always in my head.

And I ain’t nothing much but you stuck with me instead
of dipping when you coulda. Wouldn’t blame ya if you did.
And I know that you’re independent.
I know that you’re real.
I know that you’re sick of headaches.
I know how you feel.
I know that I’m like a blemish you could never heal.
But I hope that you love me dearly even when I’m peeled
to skin and bones.

They say love casts out fear
but fear cast out my love.
Now I’m sitting in the rain and thinking how we fell apart.
I see you with your children and your loved one.
I’m in awe.
I’m thinking how the hell I messed that up and I’m appalled.
I thought about apologizing…
didn’t have the heart.
From time to time when we collide I don’t know where to start.
A “how you been?” seems fraudulent.
I seen it from afar
and small talk with a distant lover doesn’t mesh at all.

I’m just gonna take flight,
make a couple million,
make sure mama’s alright.
Break a milli down and make a flip like old times.
But this is much different. Now I got a new life.
The dreams are much bigger. And I got a new wife.
She got me feeling like a hero and I wanna do right
by her, by me, and everyone in sight.
I just hope I got it in me. I just hope that I could fight through the ego and the pain and the glory and the strife.

I just put up a fight in this thing we call life.
I put my own money down. And I try. And I try.
And I fail and I fall. But I’m never defeated.
I’m always getting back up and toward the source of grievance
until I rip it apart and get it out of my life.
I was doomed from the start but was ahead of my time.
They only pick up to call when they see that you’re flying
but they scramble like roaches the second stars ain’t aligning.

I looked into her eyes and told her, “baby you’re the one”
as she looked into the sky and wondered why I lie so much.
I don’t know why.
I don’t know why I lied so much.
But she took flight.
She left to find an honest one
who won’t cause fights.
And now she’s doing quite fine.
A couple kids, knee high.
It makes me feel alright
to see her shine so bright.
To see her find her light.
To see her mine her plight
and get gold from the ashes of the past. My life
will never be the same since we crashed those bikes.
There ain’t nothing we could do but respect Father Time.
Respect Father Time.

I’m tryna get inside her mind
but I think that it’s padlocked.
She’s talking pretty wild sometimes
and she says that I’m bad luck.

And I know that she’s doubting me.
But I guess that it’s fine to me
cuz I’m not built for salaries.
I’m working just to boss up.

And she don’t need to get that.
But she should just respect that.
I’m who I am. No take backs.
No shame. No games. No fake friends.
I’m gone.
