NBA: Dallas Mavericks Finalizing Trade For Kristaps Porzingis

According to a report from ESPN their sources have confirmed that Kristaps Porzingis met with NY Knicks management and the team was left feeling that he’d like to move on from the team. Possible landing spots for the big man (who averaged 20+ points and 2+ blocks a game last year before going down to injury) included the Nets, Clippers, Heat, Spurs, and the Raptors.

However, in one of the quickest turnarounds in recent memory, it was reported that the Dallas Mavericis are currently finalizing a deal that would send DeAndre Jordan, Dennis Smith Jr., Wesley Matthews, and possibly a first round pick to NY in exchange for Porzingis, Courtney Lee, and Tim Hardaway Jr. in a move that would free up some more cap room for New York’s free agency efforts in the upcoming off season.

Are the Knicks delusional? How did we get here? Why is this coming up now?

There are so many questions and we’re just going to have to wait and see if we get any logical answers.
